What is a Certified Family Law Specialist?
The California Board of Legal Specialization, a division of the State Bar in California, administers and monitors the designation of Certified Family Law Specialists in California. They require that each attorney admitted to the program complies with additional training and testing requirements beyond those required for general attorneys admitted to the Bar, and that they remain competent in their area of expertise. Cecelia has been a Certified Family Law Specialist since 2002.
How to Prepare for your Initial Consultation
-
There is no charge for the initial consultation. It will provide you with the information you need to know, in order to feel confident that this law office is right for you.
-
If you are already in litigation; bring all the paperwork you want an attorney to see, in order to understand your position, and all documents pending in your case, if any.
-
If you and your spouse/partner have agreed to mediate the termination of your relationship, or any portion of it, then it is preferred that the appointment be made so that both of you will attend the initial consultation together. If that is not possible, call and ask for alternative arrangements.
-
You can schedule an appointment either by calling the office at 408-370-6140, or you can book it on-line by pressing the 'Book Consultation' button.
-
The initial consultation, as well as any representation, is strictly confidential. Information discussed cannot be disclosed without your consent.
